With the growth of MNCs, and with digitisation The role of Finance function has changed over time and is now considered as a partner to the business. So the skills required for Finance Professionals has also changed. Traditionally the focus was only on Technical Skills. In order to succeed in business in addition to Technical skills, a finance professional also needs to have Business Skills, People Skills, Ethics, Leadership skills and Digital skills. These skills are covered in ACCA.

The focus of ACCA is on Financial Reporting, Audit & Taxation. The course prepares a student to become a CFO in the future.

ACCA is UK based and recognised in over 180+ countries. Case studies, Scenario based questions and Objective Type Questions make CIMA an application oriented course.

ACCA is rated highly by MNCs both in India & Abroad.

ACCA is a pretty flexible courses. A student can take it up paper wise. The pass rates are pretty high compared to Indian professional courses.

Any one who has completed school +2 can join ACCA. Proficiency in Maths and the English are only required.

There are 3 Levels in ACCA consisting of 3, 6 and 4 papers. Totally 13 papers.

There is no time limit to complete the CIMA course. On average, each level takes about a year to complete.

There is no limit to the number of attempts you may have at each paper.

Both ACCA and CIMA are UK based Globally recognised Professional qualifications recognised in 180+ countries.

The focus of CIMA is on Management Accounting, Financial Strategy & Risk Management. CIMA trains a student to run a business. CIMA course prepares a student to become a CEO in the future or a start up founder.

Both ACCA & CIMA are flexible courses. A student can take up the exam paper wise. The pass rates are pretty high for both ACCA & CIMA. If a student puts in the effort along with the required training both the courses are do able.
